Relationship & Responsibility

Pillar- (n.) a firm upright support for a superstructure; a supporting, integral, upstanding member or part.

A more robust definition, within the realm of architecture, defines a “pillar” as a structural element that transfers, through compression, the weight of the structure above to other structural elements below. We as iGate have two, Relationship and Responsibility. The chief function of our pillars is three-fold. The first function is to carry the weight of God’s government, glory, and favor. The second, to resist disruptive forces that could cause a massive collapse within our House. The final function is to provide a healthy balance as we pursue our vision. These pillars shape, guide, and support how we live and function as a family. Creatively, the Father has interwoven these pillars within the very fabric of iGate’s DNA. Therefore, everything we endeavor to build functions upon, through, and towards these two foundational pillars.

Through experience we have come to embrace the architectural and biblical truth that that which is hidden below is more vital than that which is seen above. A building is nothing without it’s foundation. In the same regards iGate is nothing without it’s pillars. For this very reason we endeavor to value these pillars in thought, word, and deed.

Jesus is perfect theology. The Word made Flesh represents the Father and flawlessly modeled what is possible with God. Jesus, the very definition of purity, success, and power, personified a life that we eagerly desire to emulate. The writer of Mark simply showcased Jesus’ way of life from which our pillars are derived from. . .

He ordained twelve that they might be with Him and that He might send them forth to preach and have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.

Mark 3:14 KJV

To be with Him (Relationship) → Send them forth (Responsibility)

It is crucial to take note of the order in which they are listed. This order reveals God’s heart and value system. Thus, everything flows from relationship. Intimacy with God and each other is the fuel for ministry.

Influence. Power. Sustainability. Efficiency. Effectiveness.

All of these attributes are driven by the vitality of our relationships.
A perfect picture that embodies the unity of our two pillars, Relationship and Responsibility, is the infinity symbol. This symbol reveals a profound dynamic, “both pillars strengthens and supplies the other in a never ending cycle”. We believe this is what God intended.
